The ninth episode of Cambridge Uncovered celebrates Latino culture and heritage in the city of Cambridge. In the first segment, host and moderator Luis Vasquez talks with Vice Mayor Dennis Benzan and Rafael Ulloa, editor of El Planeta Media, about a new event coming to Cambridge during Hispanic Heritage Month: VivaLatino, which takes place Sept. 26 in Central Square. Benzan returns for the second segment and is joined by Amigos School Principal Sarah Bartels-Marrero to discuss the role language and education play in preserving Hispanic traditions in the community. A roll-in segment by Frank Morris explores the Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead. Cambridge Uncovered is a collaboration between Cambridge Community Television's Production Department and NeighborMedia.org, CCTV's citizen journalism project.
